I've found that it impresses clients no end when you supply them with fact based pathology reports as confirmation of exactly what's messin with their trees, signed by a PhD pathologist.
It's a fact based gold standard worth doing, even done at your expense IME.

Snip the browned tips off, put them in a gallon zip bag, and take it to your county ag pathology lab for testing.
Our ag path lab provides this service for free. Takes about a week.
Looks a lot like the bacterial fireblight that messes up so many ornamental pears here in SoCal.
