So Rich, How's the saw so far? We've got a pruner guy who's got one and really likes it, but, to me, that means next to nothing. What do you think of it?

:lol: Good retort, and yes the 441c run-time qualifies for the big saws, at least in my book. As Justin (maybe mockingly) suggested, though... I'm pretty doubtfull about the top-handles.

Stig: I'm basing my opinion on experience solely on two different 540t Husq. top-handle saws, which I believe are far more susceptible to idlying issues than timber-cutting saws, since they are subjected, during use, to much more angular alteration, because of the saw's dangling on a lanyard...

But you should be Jim. These electronic carb saws are just absolute trash. Either company makes no difference. Evan: it's good to see you back on here, brother, but... I can tell you: for a Christian, you're going to do an awful lot of cussing that new saw of yours. :(
