Probably. The trouble with ALL of the new micro-processor saws (whether AutoTune or M-Tronic, makes little difference) is that they are so hit and miss. I ordered two 540's for my truck about three months ago... One doesn't even run now, at all. The other is the best top-handle I've ever...

Uhhm... Stephen: Have you had the misfortune of having to use a stock 201 yet?

O.k. well.... none of my friends' 201's perform "well," as stockers. Mine performs fairly well, and it's got the full Brad Sneller treatment.

How many guys on here would believe that my top-handle of choice right now is a ported Echo 360t. What a joke these new strato saws are. Still, I'd have to go with the 540. Kevin: Yup, I just ported my 200t, and messed er all up. :(

O.k. ... Just an F.Y.I. to everyone out there who messes with saws: mastermind 7864 (Randy) rocks like none other. I would hire him in a heartbeat if I were to deck and port my new 201t. He just gave me some invaluable advice on timing-advancing the new saws. Randy+any saw= :rockon:

BTW, Kevin: What the deuce do people mean exactly by "timing advance," and how do inbred folks accomplish it?

Randy: Are you serious man? I'd LOVE to know how to port that pig. When I said that I sucked at porting, that's only because I blew up the piston on my 395--probably cause I got a little too greedy on the exhaust port. But the two 440's I ported, turned out great with really good timing...

Yeah, Kevin.... like Butch said. If all I can get's a 201, I'd pay good money to have that stupid pig at least ported.

Thank you so much Pete. I can't wait to get that pig. My boss was going to buy me a 201, but after having run 200t's for years, I all but straight-up refuse to run one of those gutless pigs. I've seen the rednecks mod them with lovely results, but I kinda suck at porting. :(
