    Thinking about getting a chipper

Ha, thanks man. No, they were done with it, and I was happy to have it. It's now got a total of 445 hours. It was at a landscaping outfit that went bust for the first 390 hours, to a little Christmas tree farm for the next 30, and now's it's in my driveway. haha. I got a lot of backstory...

So. . . uhhh. . . what's the little set screw on the anvil for? The one with the bolt sticking out on one side and the little hex head plug/set screw in the other side? Am I supposed to turn that out against the backing plate? It seems kind of silly. . . I think the bolt is just there to...

    8) hahaha That actually would be kind of sweet. The hoses are in good shape, and it's going to be sitting outside. . . I'm thinking about wrapping the ones up top to keep the sun off them. . . I guess it doesn't really matter.

That makes a lot of sense Stephen, I've got a new anvil coming from Bandit direct. I'll flip and reset the existing when I change the knives.

Cool, thanks Willie. A guy in town will grind them for me Butch. I'm going to throw the new set on this weekend and get the existing ones reground. Don't know if he can salvage the old set, but I'll send those off too. He owes me. haha

Yeah, it's got a Ford LRG-425 I-4. 2.5 liter gasser at about 70 hp. Very smooth running little industrial motor. It tows just fine behind a 1/2 ton. Hitting the tow haul butting keeps the r's up and she doesn't seem to mind at all. . .

Good call on the Jack as well. I'm worried about the bearings. I'll check them before I leave, and see if they're roasting before I hit the highway. It's gotta run 65 for a couple hours before I can get back to side roads. . . I'll bring a grease gun too. . .
