Oh man, sorry it took so long for me to see this Merle! The ABR Tenex is not coated, and has an almost silk-like feel. The Coated Tenex (green) is considerably stiffer and more resistant to picking. If I had my druthers I'd take the coated stuff every time.

yeah, I just picked up a long X-Rigging ring sling from Sherrill. I really like the Tenex they use, it's stiffer than the Tenex on the ABR sling I got, which I can snag and pick with my fingernail. Love these things!
