It's just the standard 400 gallon tank, Steve. Actually, I don't know what it has. My F350 had a 42 gallon tank. I could never afford to fill past half way. I think on a Dodge cab and chassis you can get a 56 gallon in addition to the standard tank, which is 34. You practically need a...

Forgot to add that. And the difference seems to stay the same. $6k difference new, $6k difference with 150k miles.

I think it depends on how you use them. I see so many pickups and one tons, both gas and diesel, driven as cars that it's mind boggling. You have to run a diesel to make it work out. On the other hand, no gas motor is going to pull like a diesel.

It's about time they bumped the combined rating. People were going to tow it anyway.

I'm not thinking anything, you were the one talking about a 45 or 50 thousand pound trailer. I realize I should have said gooseneck, but still, wasn't my idea.;)

What kind of tires does the 450 pickup run? Can you get a 20+ ton tag without air brakes?

Engine is toast. Too many things to fix, service body is rotted out. The farms 33,000 gvw International gets better mpg, and if you can go 8 seconds in that thing without getting tossed, a rodeo would be a walk in the park. Picking up a transmission for my Dodge now.

I found the problem. There is a connector mounted to the top of the inner fender that connects the battery to the ignition. It broke that off. Easy fix. The tire is another story. Don't think I'll be fixing that. That's the third busted tire on the front of this truck so far. Breaks them right...

Any of the Ford people on here know why the electrical system would go dead on an '02 F350 after the front left tire exploded on me an hour ago? I don't think it's the fuel pump switch, as the entire electrical system is dead. Truck is supposed to still crank but not start if the FPS is triggered.

I knew I'd ruffle some feathers. I'm the same way about Dodge, but I don't worry too much if someone doesn't like them. At least I tried the Ford.

I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but I'll never, ever buy another Ford. Ever. I'd rather be run over by a dump truck than to ever drive mine again. It would hurt less.

They check for fuel with dye in it. The dyed fuel is off road, and is not taxed the same. eta: TH beat me to it. Yes, dyed red here.

I'm talking about something like a 6.0 or newer Ford, but I can see where you had to do a little tunnelling as well. The 7.3s weren't great, but it only gets worse as they get newer. The inline engines are comparatively much easier to work on. Emissions stuff really hogs the engine bay.

I'm glad I'll never have to work on a newer V-8 diesel truck. The cab and fenders should come with hinges so you can flip them out of the way.

I've got a challenge for you Ford guys. 2002 F350. Challenge #1- Radio must turn off when I turn the key off. Why the hell do they think I want the F****** radio on with the key off? I'd turn it to ACC if I did. Challenge #2- Dome light must not come on unless I open the door, and must go...
