    How'd it go today?

I have a bit of a battery cable obsession, which, as obsessions go, isn't the worst thing. I feel that there should only be one style of battery, the 31S, just in five different sizes. ATV, lawn and garden, automotive, truck, and large earthmover. I have been converting everything I own to...

    How'd it go today?

The old 66 ran very well today. I'm glad I brought it out of retirement. I'd like to find the proper plastic handled brake housing for it. I was given an old metal loop handle when I broke the original, which isn't as nice. It may not have great anti-vibe, and it might not have the greatest...

    How'd it go today?

I need a saw that I can leave at the mill for occasional use, and the only real candidate was my old Husky 66, which has never let me down. I had a nearly new 20" bar, and found a decent chain. Ten pulls and it fired up. After at least ten years under the bench. It doesn't have the snap off idle...

    How'd it go today?

I haven't seen anything that jumps out at me. I think the one on the upper left was trimmed after the tree was felled.

More logs showed up today. Starting to look like a proper sawmill these days.

    How'd it go today?

Got my first load of timber quality logs today. The logger is selecting for my timber list, and matching what the tree yields to the best use. I've been waiting for this for probably 15 years. It's going to allow me to be a sawyer and still know I'm getting what I want. (And nothing that I don't...

    How'd it go today?

Yes. I got them on the camera at the mill a few years ago.

They steal grain bags out of the barn. Shameless.

    How'd it go today?

My parents had a bear in the garage last night. My older sister got him on the Ring camera. My younger sister has a cell phone video through the kitchen door. I had taken several videos of one a few hours earlier at the sawmill, 150 yards away.

    How'd it go today?

I've got ants getting in my house. Dawn dish soap and wster in a plant mister takes them out in seconds. This morning I found a crew of large ants carrying away the dead ones I had left in the sink last night. A little research and I learned that they were undertaker ants assigned to clean up...

Tax collector send demands for my car and the Jeep, which has been off the road since '22. Not sure what her problem is, I sent money in January or February. Now I have to try and track her down. I think her hours are 7:00 to 7:15 Wednesdays every other leap year.

    How'd it go today?

Yes, you can fit a BR800C in the trunk of a Golf, if you try.

Violent stomach bug. Probably in the top five, maybe top two illnesses in my life. :barf::sad4:

    How'd it go today?

Spent the afternoon driving gravel truck for my friend who is building a new house. It's a win-win for me. I like driving old trucks, and he buys me lunch.:D This evening I sent to the mill, as I finally got dimensions to saw one log. Almost immediately, the brand new band jumped off and wound...

    How'd it go today?

Had a few logs dropped off today for a custom sawing order. Customer is out of town now. (Logs were supposed to come two weeks ago:whine:) I wish something would come together here soon.

Thanks. If I can move some logs, I'll be able to get something done.

The pump is still pumping, it's just leaking badly. I'll see how it goes. I have to get some stuff sawn asap. Any of the neighbors who drilled deep have nasty water. Any of the shallow, roughly 20', wells have good water. A sand point can be driven with a sledge hammer, or a post pounder.

    How'd it go today?

I'm enjoying the sun. Trying to make the most of it while it's here. Started the next phase of sawmill reorganization yesterday. Parked the Kubota and was planning my next move and the water pump let go and drained most of the coolant. I've never had one fail when it wasn't running...
