I've used Stihl HP Ultra for probably 20 years, maybe longer, and so has a friend that had large crews using ope. Zero issues.

I file the rakers by eye based on how fast it's cutting. My local saw shop bumps the raker on a bench grinder. My saws cut fast and straight.

Red oak cuts like butter. Doesn't seem too impressive, but then I don't often run such small saws.

That one's better. If I had the money for one of those, I'd buy another 395XP.:/:

I'm running .050 3/8 on my 395xp. I don't have any issues with excessive wear. I run Stihl chain.

The BR700 is 4mix. They'll run well over an hour on a tank. I run them all day long when I'm helping a friend with fall cleanups. They blow as well as an 8 hp push blower. I don't like the sound, either, but it's better than a push blower.
