I got my threader in the basement today. It might be a restoration project by itsellf. I did find the actual threading die. A Rigid 504. 1 1/4" to 2". I'll have to get my pipe vise from the farm down there, too. Does anyone know anything about the 504? Thanks.

I've got a contact for a guy that might repair the other boiler. I think there is going to be about 60 feet of weld to plate the bottom of the firebox. Not sure I can get in there to do it on account of being claustrophobic. :|:

It's just gone. Oil furnace works, just ridiculously expensive.

It's toast. Nothng to weld to on the outside. My repair seemed to be fine, but it's all flaking away under the insulation.

I used 6013. It was handy. Only other rod on hand was 7018.

Finished the welding. I'm not going to bother hooking it up tonight. I think I did ok. Horizontal is not my favorite. I guess I could have just rolled it over on its side. :/:

I've broken the pusher a couple of times. Always with elm. The splitter valve goes into relief way before the tractor, which is set at 3200. I didn't build the splitter. Can't imagine what would happen if it got the full psi. Actually, the swing pump is still at 2775, so that might help.

I pretty much run wide open. It's fast, I'm using both backhoe pumps for a combined 19 and change gpms.

Finished. Took the best bits of a pos splitter with a seized engine and made it tractor powered and mounted. Design inspired by junk at hand.
