Basically, all American and English Elms are susceptible Asian and Siberian not so much. Beetle flight happens in the spring and larva overwinter in the tree. All Elms will host beetles that will cause damage even without Ophiostoma novo-ulmi so it is best not to make pruning cuts during flight...
