Certainly not how I see it. Amazing little saws that continue to perform splendidly.

I've had 2 for a long time now and the only thing I have had to do differently with regards to oil is to keep the bar and oil tracks clean and open. Everything on these saws is tiny and things clog up easily.

One of the things that I really like about the MS 150 is the ultra smooth and clean cutting micro chain that it uses.

I own three 150's. Great little saw for pruning and more. I have had good luck with the 12" bar and skinny chain that came on them.

I haven't weighed mine so I don't know by how much, but the skinny little 12" bar and chain for the 150 is noticeably lighter than a normal 16" bar and chain.

Yeah, but how many people use a saw without a bar and chain? :P I hope you get a chance to try out a 150 someday, Burnham because it is a great little saw, especial when tuned up by Randy. Even so I doubt it will rank high on your must have list due to its designed target application.

Both of mine are fine. The one that Randy tweaked gets run almost every day, hard. Replaced the bar and worn out drive sprocket, so the clutch came off and back on with no issues.

With the 150's micro sized bar and chain, you really need to clean everything much more often than other saws. If oil is running out the side cover, things are most likely blocked. I still can't believe how much this little mighty mite can do.

I have no idea what the porting would do, but the tweaking for 100.00 is well worth it. Read my earlier posts. That little 1/4" chain is perfect on this saw. Not only does it allow this small saw to cut at a respectable speed, it is so much smoother cutting than any other saw I have used.

If you guys get the 150 either have Randy mod it or find out what he did and do it yourself. The saw he did for me just rocks. Cuts half again faster than stock, mabe more. I use it all the time now even on removals. Power to weight is awesome and I have beat the hell out of it and it just...

It is! But after getting it back from Randy, it cuts like a laser. I used it on a pine removal last week and it handled everything up to it's bar length, no problem. In fact it cuts so fast and has so much more power, it will be interesting how long it lasts. I love using this little saw...

I would strongly recommend it. I was going to keep my second one stock so I could show people how big a difference there is, but now I'm thinking screw that and getting it tuned up also.

I just got my 150 back from Randy! Wow!! It runs great! This fine little saw no longer needs a qualifier, like it's fine for small pruning, or great for little stuff. It is now just a great small saw! I have two of these so I was able to do a side-by-side cutting test. No comparison...
