I was thinking I remembered a inner metal dawg.
No issues that you commercial guys are seeing. I couldnt complain for my uses and the tree guy that got it loves it for his pruning needs.
Still havent found the numbers but here is a climber in my group feedback on regular 1/4" on it. = Echo should make 1/4? pitch standard on the 2511. Cuts so much better than the 3/8p and LP chains. Much smoother. No chattering and very little hang up while I made some test cuts on a 16...
I will ask Nate he is the makita dolmar echo dealer that has been sending out the swaps.
I didnt notice any adapting of a bar to use. Nate is setting up 1/4" regular. Not the 1/4" micro used on the 150.
Folks I know are switching the 2511 echo's over to the 1/4" regular chain though. The 3/8LP just has to much vibration in the cuts jarring them to death.
I was one that wanted the 3/8LP too, but fell in love with the 1/4" micro used on the 150. So freaking smooth
Nope that would have been to easy if they would have used that style.
The pin stops the H from going any richer. Have to drill it out to allow full adjustment.
Guess it could stop you going any leaner too. But didnt go that way.
These things come set to lean IMHO. You can hear them hitting the rev limited coil. That isnt four stroking your hearing if you think you are.
If you did a muffler mod guaranteed your hitting limiter.
Much better. Drilled the pin out of the epa stop in the H side metal shroud. Was making it...
Was at 2 different dealers yesterday. Neither had a 150T on the shelf and looked at me weird when I ask about them.
1 did have the 1/8" file guide kit I wanted. But only the file it came with.
The other had sets of 3 1/8 " files but gouged on the price of them. Paid the extra so I hand them...
I ask the past owner about the bar having no paint and the oiler working or not at times. He said the oiler works great and that he removes the paint from his bars once they start showing paint wear. Said he does this on all his bars.
Past owner said he had already done the muffler mod on the...
I know what they cost new. But taking one in trade and wonder if I allowed to much on trade in. Any of you guys bought used ones?
Said it has had the crack in the brake handle forever and never grew or had any problems with it.
Owner said he only used for pruning and the 200T does the rest...
Anyone try the echo 2511T yet? Specs out lighter and more hp then 150 with little more cc.

When I hand file I like these simple guides for cutter. http://www.stihlusa.com/products/chain-saws/accessories/filing-tools/fileguide/
Then just use a flat file and set my rakers where I want them set.
IMO it is for folks that dont know what a raker is. I recommended them to firewood cutters that are clueless.
I get chains in the raker has never been touched at the end of a cutter life.
