    If you are sporting Oregon chain, the Oregon files work ok to fine. If you are sporting a Stihl or Carlton chain, no bueno. Files dull quick. I stopped buying them when all they would give me is a couple of sharpenings and dull out.

    Sthil are pretty good. Oregon suck, Pferd better than Stihl. Have had good luck with Woodys.

    I file most mine (99.5%) Very seldom do they go to a shop and get sharpened. Unless one gets damaged bad and there is enough teef left to. Square Chisel. My Silvey handles all of those. Those larger loops make money on the big stuff. These days we run more 24" or less. 18-20" is the go to for...

    So just over 6000.00 USD. Local shop aves about 8.00 per loop... So about 750 or so sharpenings it pays for itself..................
