I have always thought so as well Kyle. You should see the Anvil on my machine.. I think it is around 5/8ths thick 10-12'' by 6 or so. Guy could have fun with this stuff and a forge.
We found the same thing with our smaller chipper Brian. So for a long time we just touched those blades up with emory until we got a wet grinder. If they got too buggered from metal or something, then we would send them out. Or in my case, run them over to my guy down the hwy. But those blades...
My local machine shop sharpens mine. I keep 4 sets of 4 8" knives. He charges me 40.00 per set. Place 1.5 hours out will do them for 25.00. I stay local. Lotta fuel in a couple trips. He does my anvils for 60.00. Those have 6 edges.
