For touching up a kydex being moulded, a heat gun helps also.

And I remember watching you climb for the first time on SRT and was inspired Deva. Earning that redwood at the GTG

It can feel a tad weird on SRT when you first start doing that. That leg of rope missing. Almost insecure. Was for me anyway. And a couple guys I taught. Eventually, I moved past it, as did they. The you just do the same thing with the single rope. Tending slack as you go. Good rule is keep...

Probably with proper planning and clear enough canopy. But not sure I ever would. The whole MA thing was sooooo damn temporary for me climbing. My arm and upper body strength just took over and made it a rare if any needed thing to do. Often I found it easier to redirect my line and decend or...

When and if I needed MA on my SRT, I kept it real simple. I already had a handled acender, a carabiner, and a pulley. Used them on my way up. Clip the handled ascender above you, clip carabiner into the bottom hole on the ascender, clip the pulley with your climb line tail onto the carabiner...

A lot of little tips like these are really just temp solutions till you just dial in what works for you. Wasn't it Jaime (Akimbo inventor) the one that made wrist straps for his ascenders using old pantins or petzl chest ascenders. I can't remember.

Once you move to a knee ascender and have conditioned your body to the necessary strength to hold your self upright, just hand over hand on the rope in front of you, the hand ascender is just not necessary. Unless you have issues with your hands of course. A double handed ascender can be an aid...

I forgot to mention. I think it was either Old Monkey, Darin, or Deva that used a dowel through the hole above the cam of a single handled ascender to be able to use both hands at the GTG Well done BTW. It really becomes like riding a bicycle at a certain point.

For the record. I do not like to depend a lot on the Wraptor. I feel SRT rope walking and tree climbing is somewhat therapudic to my injury as I would just need to do PT anyway. I need to keep in shape at my age as well. Grateful I have the Wraptor to help extend my tree days and keep me from...

End of day if I'm tired. If I have target limbs way up and nothing inbetween. More of late due to my knee injury. If I over do the rope climbing, my knee does not work real well the next day or even the rest of the week. SRT is still the most efficient way to prune a tree IMO.

@ Ryan Early on, before I added a knee ascender, I just used a foot loop onto the hand ascender for the opposite foot from the ankle ascender. I originally had a single hand and then bought the double. This allowed me to continue to build my upper body and grip to where I could just hold myself...

A Hitch Climber pulley, the pulley the RW was designed around, has the extra attatchment point need for advancing. If you use a neck or shoulder tether to advance the RW, attatched to the RW stiff tether, it can cause you grief. I warned Cary, Widow Shooter once about that and he evetually got...
