Exactly Sean. I bought some dowels for a Cub Scout project. They work a charm. I used small elastic on mine. To try it out and I have yet to drill it proper. I will take a picture when I finish. I almost made one out of old tent fibre poles... Not a good idea... Fibreglass splinters suck
