Not hard to mod the TA a little. I have the 3.1 I believe and the loops are placed nicely. It is a well designed saddle.
Of course ever climber that works with me likes the dang thing... But I do not just let them have at it
Gonna start callin it a way ward onyx.
Just a request... If and when it heads back near this way... Can my new guy try it? I'll make it a quick turn. Make sure those that waited for it too long get it first though.
Jamie, I made that strap pretty adjustable. It can easily be removed as well. I just used the existing buckle on the back. Can be switched to the other side as well. Sorry the pad was so dirty. . Probably has like 200 hours of use on it
Jaime should have a box by now.. But I bet he went outside and played with it toot sweet.
I left the caritool with the saddle and sent it along. Seemed the best way to dial in the saw attachment point.
They are great Justin. We all had a great time. Kids had a blast. Just sat around and yakked mostly. Always nice to talk to another tree guy and a friend to boot. Haley is growing so fast. Her and Lilly hit it off. I don't think Lilly wanted her to leave :) Haley liked playing with the critters...
So Darin (Oldmonkey) tried to fit into the SM saddle... but more of a just feel it kind of thing, while he and Haley were here. Of course he would have to have the next size up to really give it a rating.
Tonight, I made a couple of webbing suspender straps to really give the saddle a fair...
Love the buckles. Once it is dialed in, it's like a second skin, until it does the ol butt slide.
Deva, I think you and Jaime are arm wrestling for it :D
Too bad the Old Monkey is not here till the 30th :/:
Ohhhhhhhhhh K.. first climb (mistletoe removal live oak) on a working situation.
I seem to have run into what PC Tree did.. No ass at all. I need suspenders. PERIOD. I had plumbers crack when I came down for lunch. Saw kept pulling it down down down pushing my pants down down down.... Well...
I'll try it both ways Nick. I have always leaned toward the webbing though. I like the ease of just changing out the rope bridge though with something I have around rather having to order it.
The Onyx has arrived! :D
I immediately put it on and started adjusting leg straps. It goes to work tomorrow and the next. Mistletoe job should give it a good work out.
Darin (Old Monkey) is also going to be here on the 30th. Maybe he would like to try it as well.
Katy's eyes got big so I am...
