With the Senas, we usually have to do the factory reset before we make too many changes. Do those have that option?

I find it handy when Rob is chipping. We turn them off a lot inbetween tasks. But when I need him, click in and he's on it. Don't have to wait to get his attention.

Yup. Installed mine on my Petzl and Kask. We've had up to 5 paired. Crane op gets the little headset. Or excavator op. They usually dont like helmets. I forget the model number. But it looks like this.

Its a wonderful thing to just talk stuff through instead of raising ones voice or try to get hand signals across with limited visability. My production went up. Also, customers feel like they are watching this well oiled crew that works smooth and quiet And then crane jobs. Man what a blessing...

I had mine in the front inside the helmet. Only the blue tooth module on the outside rear. I did a way with that one though. Had too much trouble with the wires getting frigged. So all the other helmets got the SMH10 with the module that you can replace separately from the mount with the wires...

Nick Bonner did a video for the Senas pairing. After watching it, doing it a couple times, its pretty easy. Its on the Tree Stuff channel, YouTube

If and when you get tired of the boom mics or if they eventually fail, buy a couple universal kits and put the mic up into the helmet. You will be pleased with the exception of when the modded saw or chipper is running. But volume control works ;) The universal kit comes with both the boom mics...

Yeah, good price... If you buy them in pairs, you can usually find them under 300.00 per pair.

I have had up to 5 going. Great tool. I have replaced about all the units and parts at least once since 2014 o r 15. The units are reasonable on line as are the helmet mount kits.

The R battery unit needs silicone... I got a gun load. The mic attachment on the R or older need the silicone treatment as well. The double sidedd sticky stuff just falls short.

I charge them in the truck and shop.. They last us at least 10 hrs on a charge and sometimes more. No point in taking the unit off. The double sided sticky stuff (like on the battery) is the worst issue we have had with them. I like the bigger button better. Easier for me to talk. Bump it a bit...

I just told a fellow the cost of them the other day.. He was like ... "Whoa!" My retort was... What will a WC claim cost me over time if someone gets hit or.................. And of all things... I was taught in a corporate world, frustration costs money. Lack of communication costs money...

This...... I had a battery go out the other day from my own brain fart (not charging units). It was a great reminder why I have them. I was up about 70 feet while barber polling a lightening struck dead pondo. The limbs move much faster and safer when I do not have to raise my voice. We had that...

With my fumbly hands, I was always dropping the damn talkies. Got to the point they cost me more frustration and time that than save any. Hateful.
