    Hagloff makes good stuff. Their increment bores are superior to Suunto, in my experience.

    That's right fancy digital model that Dave linked to, a real nice unit. Does all the calculations for you. But it costs about $400, I think. I was thinking more on the lines of an analog unit like this. A bit less that $150...but you have to do the math yourself :)...

    Good ones are not cheap...but for accuracy worth anything useful, you haven't much choice. Suunto is a well respected brand.
