I've never run one, so I really shouldn't be talking them down. I like the idea of using the smallest saw that will do the job at hand effectively.
But fawk...plastic dogs? That's just embarrassing. I must remain unmoved :D.

I know they cost about $40, and encorporate a ceramic chain catcher. GASoline71, Gary, might know the part number, or I might be able to find it at home tonight.
Here's one thread on the dogs I have on my 361, but it doesn't have the details on the Stihl double set for the 361...I'll keep looking.

Stihl makes a double dog set for the 361, smaller than you might wish for but a vast improvement over stock. I'll see if I can find a link to one or another threads where we talked about them, Andrew.
Because they cannot function, they're just wannabe dogs.
They are so short and dull that no way could you ever put any leverage on them, so you are not too likely to break them.
