Looking good. I’d put a piece of teflon on the off side of the chain for the slack to ride on.

Love the look of solid wood, to me the beauty is in the grain. The wife likes the different colors of the exotic woods. Hard to find a large enough blank of them.

Very nice, great work. I need to find some big rounds and have them kiln dried to try some solid turnings. It has been brought to my attention that what I’m doing is cartoonish, puzzle like walmart grade plastic looking pieces.

http://www.ecopoxy.com/ Pete, from what little I’ve read autobody resin isn’t self leveling and holds any bubbles that get in it during mixing. The Ecopoxy is supposed to be thinner, no bubbles, self leveling blah blah blah. The ecopeeps have their own color kit too.

Just one template Pete. Stig. What I did was glue up a 3/8” thick board of Red Oak over a 3/8” thick board of Honduran Mahogany with the grain of each running perpendicular to each other. That made the blank the project was cut from. The staves are cut from black walnut. I wanted something...

Nice shelves. Wouldn’t be that difficult of a build. Hope the wife doesn’t see it.
