Exactly what Brian says. And trust me what you lot pay for Stihl is nothing, try $ 1400 for a 200 and in Bermuda dollars that is US equivalent! Sometimes you have to suck it up to get the best... The 150 is a money maker.

I get back to Bermuda on Saturday, my 150 out there has been in storage for two years...might need to hit someone up to send out some chains for me, can't remember what I had left out there. The local Stihl dealer is unlikely to have any in stock, they don't carry the 150t. BTW, my Aussie...

Sounds good Brian! I had mine out for the big peppermint removal yesterday...it met its match finally. Anything over about 3"...the bark on that stuff just squeezes shut on your bar as soon as you start to cut it, and it's like an inch thick! The 1/4 chain really struggled, 3/8 might have...

I had to work with the big line clearance outfit the other day. Chap about 6"2' got in the bucket...with a 150t. The council guy watching was sneering at the size of it, until the bloke happily cut off a 12' stub of elm...I smiled

Blocking down a half rotten ash the other day, using the 150 to cut some of it....it stopped oiling. It happened to my other 150 before too. I cleaned it out on the job, power head and bar, but that didn't solve it. Had to use the 200...forgot how heavy that sucker is! Got home, drained the oil...

I'm just saying that Stihl chain is better than any other kind of chain.

Stay with the Stihl 1/4" picco chain...at least you don't have to pay $40 a loop in the US!! Quality.

And we know it!! Yeah, still my go-to number 1.

Glad it worked Brian :) I fixed an MS250 oiler problem by a squirt of compressed air back through the oil tank breather (while it was empty!) ...and yes one does wonder with some saws if it isn't manufacturing debris, particularly when it happens not long after purchase.

After the plug change my baby saw is working fine again, yay! I have become almost dependant on it, I was dreading a full day with the Silky alone...or struggling with the 200 on branches that were really too small for it.
