HI there, welcome to the House :) Type in some key words to the search function, there are lots of threads about SRT here. I reckon most of us would say get comfortable moving around on drt with a safety mindset, then gradually transition to SRT, keeping in mind the differences that can affect...

If you take a second lanyard, attach it to your centre attachment point, use that to 'hang' in a bit better, more comfortable than side D's. You can do this if you can't or don't want to use a top line. If I have to stop for a while I use a centre attachment, either main line, or rope lanyard in...

I had a large broken branch to remove today...about 20" dia with the ends resting on the ground, butt was up abour 20' ish. ^^^Really good stuff! Slipping a little is inevitable, knowing you are well positioned and tied in to a good spot, you hardly even notice a small slip, or when a smallish branch breaks under your foot. I jabber aloud to myself all the time, it's so true, recalling in your brain what you said...

Didn't see any eye protection on that work climb! Unless they were super clear. Double ditto Big Shot...even the days I take several shots to get my TIP (little deflector branches usually the problem) I think of how impossible it would have been for me to throw a bag up there. I really do...

Ditto, I have often found myself thinking, wow, look what I'm doing now, no WAY could I have done it 5-6 yrs ago. Time allows you to build experience and gives you the confidence to take on bigger trees and more complex jobs. My learning curve is still ascending! A little bit of nerves causes...
