I found that out that it doesn't matter where the piston is doing a pressure/vac test throught the spark hole. Recommended procedure is for the piston to be at BDC. Doing a pressure test with the piston at TDC the air being pumped in will push the piston down till a tranfer opens up. So much for...

What are your thoughts about doing these tests through the spark plug hole ???
Blocking off exhausts are pretty straight forward on just about any saw but the intake side is where I am weak...
