    Dad did his first crane removal in 1981 and hasn't used a spider leg yet. People keep trying to reinvent the wheel and I just don't get it.

    We do a metric shit ton of crane removals and we carry 2 6' tan, 2 8' tan, 2 12'tan 2 16' red and 2 20' red tuflex , replace every few years and boom. Does it all. I guess I just don't understand why people are so obsessed about these different crane slings when they have off the shelf stuff...

    Nice rig, nice truck. My only addition is, do yourself a favor, when working with a short boom( and I need to listen to myself and do this on our 23 ton national) put a forestry style cab guard over the truck like some bucket trucks have. Do it quickly. I've seen some spensive cab damage by one...
