    I've found that dipping just up to the stitching below the ring works best because it allows the stitching to still bend, and if you just dip the lower half of the weight it tends to peel off.

    Spend a little more and get a comfortable harness. After 7 years of feeling like my hips are in a vise I finally got one that didn't do that and I wish I did that back when I started.
