I (and others) were regular rent it customers for the Bandit 90 w Perkins... Some ignition issues cropped up , the rental guy would make sure it started. Then KEEP IT Running as I towed twenty five to thirty five miles to job...Bullshit , so we found the problem. Threaded studs on the starter /...
I always thought the weak point of the 90 was Disc tended to drive all work hard into lower corner of infeed resulting in occasionally clogging. Drum w straight alignment to work , now yer talkin' Bandit !
Machine is a '97 ... Salesman said adjusting Anvil clearance w knife change is critical ... Techs said nope , just makes a slightly bigger chip w knife wear.
Learn as I go , was damn sure fuel was not contaminated or had air in the lines....just went through it all. At least the mechanic didn't waste time in the fuel system.
...factoring in the Murphy switch over ride made no difference. Thinking like the dude in the garage said to Woodward or Bernstien....follow the fuel Nick ...follow the fuel.
....I have had to go through fuel system entirely....remove and clean tank , blowvout lines , filter plus pump intake screen. Not that complex. Easy to test pump as well. Nick the big clue is full fuel demand .
....you should see the manual that comes with a Morbark....pretty thin ! ....maintanance , parts diagrams , electric schematics , a few safety cautions ...that is all for an expensive machine
...my Morbark did a start no run thing...was the fuel pump.Actually the tiny plastic check valves. Mechanic was stubborn and wanted to fix existing pump while I begged him to swap it for new one....he sourced the valves (Germany I think) ....still runs on OE repaired pump.
