Only a guess on my part but I believe the UK is swamped with regulations regarding what types of equipment can be used or sold . I notice very few people know much about saw modifications etc that we on these shores just take for granted .As well , the type chains etc which are readily...

Thanks on the .325 but I'll pass . My idea is to just make the 200 a little screamer working type saw . Chances are this upcoming GTG might be the last time for the bumble bees to race unless somebody else takes up the cause . They are kind of neat to fool with but most just run the 80's and...

I might point out the reason a few of us are so interested in chisel chain for small saws . It has nothing to do with practicality but more to do with cut speed in a contest type of situation . .

Just to mention ,at one time Oregon made 1/4" chain in chisel .This was before 3/8" low profile was ever thought of . They offered it in both skip plus full compliment . Because it was made for small saws the consumer advocate and safety nazi Ralph Nader was instrumental in getting it taken off...

Baileys sells 3/8" Oregon chains for 22 cents a drive length plus a buck or so to spin it up .Add a couple dollars to ship it you would have about 30 dollars in a 114 driver length loop which is what a 36" Stihl mount bar takes . That 27 a loop isn't a bad price .Besides you certainly would not...

 Never take old Rick too seriously . A 36" bar on an 044 . They must be growing balsa in Penciltucky . That aside I imagine it's just something simple to pep them up .

Afterthought .A good running 066 will handle full comp chain on a 36" with no problem .Tom's older 066 which was stolen could take that just a flying . His brand new 660 is only a mere shadow to that older model .

There's probably a way to pep up those oilers .I threatened to delve into the problem but haven't as yet . I personally have never seen the higher volume oiler to compare what the diff would be but I'm sure somebody has .

You aren't the first one to have issues with Stihl oilers . They are kind of wimpy .
