The dealer I use takes good care of me. I have the mini and chipper and dont feel I have been over charged for any parts or service.

6 grand for the pump! They really stuck it to ya! Mine is a 03 and I priced the pumps from vermeer before I bought it and they were 1500 and about a grand to install. There are ways to check the pump to tell if its going out. I have had mine for four years with no issues.

Really for a Vermeer that price isnt too bad.

Before i bought mine i was a lttle nervous about it. I talked with dave fromBMA and he told me how much i would use it. After i bought it i loved it so much i would sleep with it if i could. I spent four months shopping and bought a 2003 vermeer for 7500 from my local vermeer dealer.

vermeer s600tx I think its 34-35" it will go through a 36" gate.

This is why I love my mini. Two pieces of plywood and probably less turf damage than draging and using a log cart. That was a medium size silver maple and woulda been a pain getting it out up that incline. I did it for twenty years but not any more.

With a mini you need a grapple Like the BMG to see its full potential. It does seem funny to buy a grapple before a mini but I can see his point and you could always sell it.

I think you might need to spend a little more to get something decent. If you get one make sure you get a BMG. I havent draged brush or moved wood hardly at all the last four years. I will never be without one again!
