Henry seems like a cool guy. Ask him how deep the nuclear subs will go? Al will never tell us, probably especially now that we have a Russian member.

With all due respect, I wonder if perhaps you may disallowing that aspect a bit too quickly, about plug color or electrode disintegration and fuel mix ratios. Unless i was getting erroneous information, my readings inform that oil mix also effects the fuel to air ratio, because greater or...

Randy, speaking about proper oil mix, wouldn't the color of the plug give you a sufficient indication if the amount of oil is adequate? Say if running 50:1 in a mod, and the electrode is the nice brown color and not looking whitish, would you still say that it is risky? I can get that color...

Are detergents bad for engines? The higher performance rated 2 cycle oils seem to have more detergents and smoke blocking additives.

Willard, what were you running before?

I've gone to 50:1 on all my saws, included the very modded ones. It's been a few years and no problems. I did lose a p and c, but I think a circlip got tossed and after falling into the crankcase, got shot up through a transfer. That was what the autopsy came up with. Made quite a mess. One...

Personally, aside from the ergonomics, power, and general workings, I think a better designed saw for above ground work is one where they have reduced the bulk of the powerhead, not increased it. After reading this thread, if I was in the market for a MS201, I would be quite confused. If you...

I agree with Andy, a useless saw model shouldn't have to be modified, it should be recalled to be made usable or your money given back.

You have a point about the extra cost and hassle to mod saws, why I recommend people learning to do it yourself. Obviously time factors, interest, etc., it isn't for everybody. Maybe similar to why some guys like to create their own loads for shooting? Decent stuff is available out of the...

There have been a number of saws that were more or less officially declared pos, but once reworked they become very good to excellent saws. Husky 359 was another. Few saws out of the gate fulfill their maximum potential, being mass production items.

Your saws look great, don't mess up your fingers with the internet stuff. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/no00oHll06w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Yeah, nothing wrong with the quarter pitch carving chain for light saws used in tree work (no safety ramps). Zenoah has used it for years on their small models. Kind of expensive and not all that many places carry it. The 1/4" pitch allows small diameter tapered tip bars which is kind of nice...

Wonder how the dealers would respond if you went in there and said, "I want a saw I can easily one hand"? Selling you one might be a conflict of interest.

Ya, no flippy caps. My 020rh has seen pretty hard use, no issues other than the air filter cover will fall off on occasion, and it has only caught on fire twice when the spark plug wire separated from the plug and ignited unburnt fuel coming out the exhaust. :O Solvable with a tighter...

Stephen, is there some particular reason why you want an 020 over the 200? Pretty much the same saw, is my understanding, except some 020s had a Walbro on them. Are you talking about a rear handle? I do find the 020rh very useful for light limbing and as a supplemental tool in your truck when...

Thanks. Just curious, you don't feel that lightening pistons or opening up the windows on the ones that have them, provides much of a plus?

The 200T looks real good. Did you do any piston work on it?
