I rented a pelenc with a small backpack battery to test it, the perfotmance for pruning and reduction was awesome for take downs not that great. If you make cuts in the 8-10" range the battery is empty after 25-30. And there's the weight. The saw is about 5-6 pounds with bar, chain and oil wich...
Damn, I forgot that video. Stihl bar and chains in the thinner option are alredy there. I use them on my 200t. But thanks for the tipp maybe as a second set.
To the concerns abaut the clove hitch. First of all I was told to use it as a standard rigging knot. As I got more expiriencd I startet to use a running bow line for most things. What do you use when tying a log in a negativ rigging scenario? Is there something better than a running bow line...
The orginal hook was fixed with one screw and by the shape of the plate. So is the new one the same screw. It can be built back.
Its still the first prototype next one definitely without spikes.
saw stow
Bit late but thats how I like to hang my 200t.
Best with the rock exotica Transporter. The Pins on both sides are for hanging without seeing the biner but I don't need them realy. I don't use a strap so the hole is big enough.
When I do solo treework I always try to climb in a system which alows me to get to the ground with one hand. I dont use two laneyards but as a second tie in my climbing line with an srt tool on it.
I'm not in tree work as a full time job. It's a slow growing thing, more like a hobby with some work. Puh my skill set I started with a Hitchclimber system then Spiderjack. For a half year I try to work on SRT wich works with some restrictions very well for me.
