    my struggle

My career as a climbing arborist has come to an end. From 1988 to June 11th 2015. I had an accident while on the job that has cost me for the rest of my life. Without going into details, I wanted to see if this was a place that I was trusted enough to unload my climbing and rigging gear. I'm...

    chainsaw stand

Thats one of the ways i was doing it. But being bent over a tailgate still didn't work for me. Plus, I'm stuck at wherever my vehicle is at, usually direct sunlight. At least with the bikestand, i can move it anywhere i am. And my saw is held perfectly at waist height, or any height i adjust it to.

    chainsaw stand

I just had to share this. Its my chainsaw stand fashioned from a bike stand and steel saw clamp. This thing will safely hold my 440 -down to my tree saw. It makes filing a joy, especially since you're not huntched over the powerhead -sharpening, with sweat pouring off you. I don't know about...

Husqvarna T540xp v Stihl 201t check this out

I was just told by a shop mechanic that the reason for the Stihl not performing up too standard- is the result of a faulty governor. Under load -this governor is supposed to shut off, allowing for extra power to finish the job. He said Stihl has or is fixing this soon. I asked what about the...

Im definitely not a fan of fuzzy rope. I'll stick with my New England Tachyon. The pink line this time!

    Favorite Ddrt rope?

I've been using the New England Tachyon 11.5 for a few years now. I love it, but since I've been at this game for so long now, my parts don't work like when I was 20. Im definitely interested in the Imori for ease of grip. The elasticity of it isn't as big of concern due to knowing tricks of...

    New Zigzag

I'm looking to get one soon. I'm wondering how it will do with 250 total pounds of weight. And as you said, not being able to place mid line is a bugger— but even a bigger loss would be that third hole the hitch climber provides. Does it heat up on quick descents?

Which style? I was just looking at a pair myself. And though I've yet to cut myself with a moving chain, it'll probably happen now that I'm curious about saw safety. :(
