    New software needed ASAP!

We used jobber for years, love it. We just out grew jobber and switched to single ops. Single ops is great and more detailed, but not user friendly. Almost like Mac VS PC.

Welders? Any welders on this site?

I don't use it for critical welds, mainly for building tool boxes and gear/ tool storage for trucks. Here's my most recent project. I made plywood and chainsaw/ pole saw and gear storage for a few trucks.

    Best backpack blowers

We run a 430 and 700 on each crew, the favorite is the 700 by far. I have tried the 800, it's a beast!

Neighbors tree over daycare playground question

This is a hard problem to deal with. You have to respect the owner of the trees and not hack the trees up, then you have to keep the kids safe from any hazards. It could be a liability if nothing is done, but also a liability if you end up killing the trees. I think the higher priority is to...

    Grapple Advice Needed Please

Heres the bad thing about the grapple trucks: Once you get one, you will never want to use a chipper again and your employees will avoid the chipper at all costs. Now every time I mention the word chipper they get upset and start coming up with reasons how/ why we should not chip for that job.

    Grapple Advice Needed Please

We did a good sized job this week and were able to knock it out quick with the grapple truck. We removed about 50 trees at a condo complex, we started on Tuesday and will be finished up this afternoon. So far we have hauled 12 loads out with the grapple truck.

    Grapple Advice Needed Please

Yes, I think the baby grapple is a 2000 with around 750k miles. It's a good running truck, I drove it from Dayton Ohio to Marian, SC, didn't skip a beat the whole way there. New trucks are around $220 if you purchase a glider, if you buy a virgin you have to add FET Tax...

Here is a picture when I got it stuck pretty good. Another picture of a log I picked up (It was solid too). The last picture is helping unload some mulch off a overweight truck on the side of the highway.

    Grapple Advice Needed Please

I haven't had any problems, most loads we are under weight. When you haul only logs you have to worry about being over weight. I usually pull on the scales at the dump when I haul logs and I'm usually only a little bit over. I did haul some concrete blocks a few weeks ago to make a mulch...
