Mike did a fantastic job climbing(per usual). Got a lot of wood on the ground with some tricky setups. I didn't take many pics, but this one is alright...
Ok, I know nothing about palm. What's the problem there aside from it looking stupid? Should it have been trimmed all the way up, or not trimmed at all? My vote is for the latter.
Are all your trees amazing Deva, or are you cherry picking them for posting? Would you say Hawaii tends to have more amazing trees than... Wherever. Just pick a place that gets nice spready hardwoods?
Tell ya what, lifts scare me more than climbing as long as the wood's healthy. I trust my gear. I have a harder time trusting numerous moving parts on an impossibly small base bouncing all over the place D^:
Stig mentioned wishing he used a lighter saw. I wonder if that would really be better? Seems like you'd be fighting bar droop the whole time. I bet that light bar's a good match for the 661. Going smaller with the saw might make it nose heavy. I have an ES on my 661, and I don't like the way it...
Jesus, that's miserable stig. A lot of saw to sling around for a dumb bush, and the derailments are rage inducing. Luckily, I've dealt with neither on that scale. Smaller bushes and smaller saws. Kill any chains in the process?
That's pretty cool. I have an appreciation for games that require no special equipment for core play. You could find everything you need for a game in the woods.
I slipped off a bridge form once, and caught myself ~1" before having a piece of rebar go through my neck. It wasn't a freefall like you might get in treework, but it was still enough force to not be much of an impediment to penetration.
Eric, they build boxes like that on bridges for rebar...
There's always the hope you can take a significant fall and live to tell the tale. There's a few here that have. Spiky fences somewhat diminish that hope :^D
