I'm not sure why I'm not more alarmed about the 100% real cheese statement. I'm like yeah, what other kind of cheese is there? My sister got this for me, as it's well known that I like thin crust pizza.
Much of what I have eaten over the years has merely been a vehicle for hot sauce. One thing I have had little success with is meat substitutes. I'm either eating meat, or I'm eating non-meat in a non-meat form.
I've only had moose once. A very memorable occasion. We were chipping brush and it was -15 at noon with high winds. We were nearly frozen, but the guy who we rented the chipper from was from Quebec. He thought it was springtime. When we went to dump chips, the homeowner invited us in for some...
I just walked into my favorite pizza place and when she asked me what I wanted, I asked for a pillow and a quiet corner of the room. She thought that was funny, and wasn't too surprised, she's known me for a long time.
Did a similar thing as last night but added lentils and water sautéed instead of the rwv. The rwv was good, but a bit overpowering. No pics 'cause I ate it.
Grilled stuffed burrito. Onions and bell pepper sautéed in red wine vinegar with ginger and cumin. Wilted spinach and kale. I'm trying to eliminate salt, oil, and sugar, (SOS) so the rwv was all I had to sauté with. Needs more protein, but working with what I had on hand.
I made some more of the lentils and rice*, a little different spice combination this time. I tossed some in a tortilla with some greens and toasted it in the reversed waffle squeezer. Very happy with the result, and I think it's going to be a good base for lunch options.
*Still not Indian.
It's just a recipe I found on YouTube that had rice and lentils plus a few other things I had in the kitchen that I could throw in the InstantPot. Ten minutes prep, if that, plus 45 minutes cooking, pressure release.
Tonights attempt at dinner: lentils and rice with onion, bell pepper, garlic, curry powder and black pepper. I deleted the salt and turmeric. Two thumbs up. (Added Sriracha, such was also good. Just discovered Sriracha)
A little salad with a homemade mustard, sort of hummus, dressing. And a huge pile of steamed broccoli. It's no meat lovers pizza with a side of jalapeno poppers, but it won't kill me quite as fast. :/:
Steamed up a huge plate of broccoli in the Instant Pot. Came out perfectly. I sprinkled about a teaspoon of Parmesan on top, which made a big difference. I like steamed broccoli as is, but the Parmesan was a nice addition. I've heard nutritional yeast is a good cheese alternative with a lot of...
