The Dane has a 500i, I'm sure of it... then again that saw is nose heavy with most long-ish bars because it's so light. Off early today, and I have tomorrow off. Trimmed some willows at the RV park. Were almost done with that job, just a few trees left. The girls will be out of town, so I'm...

@stig, I'm pretty sure you won "Shit Job of the Week" with that one! Why did you use 660? Seems a bit masochistic...

Quaking Aspen. They smell sweet, and leave a white dust on everything that touches them. When they get Armalaria, they smell like cow piss. You can tell the health of one by the smell of your first cut. Which is why I plunge cut low on the stump before anything.

Free hand or Granberg for the slab, Mr. Patrick? Either way very nice. Most of my customers just want the wood to dissappear, it's nice when someone appreciates their trees enough to want to keep them around, even if only in part.

So far above my pay grade, I'd have to remind myself to close my mouth... Took forever for the pics to load with the weather we've had lolz. That's quite the machine indeed! Sometimes, I just like to watch equipment at work, especially with a skilled operator in control... guess the nine year...

Elk and deer rubbing their antlers is a pretty common cause of death to our young Ponderosas. They usually attack the larger ones though, typically 2-3 inch DBH, and they THRASH them, rip all the bark and branches off as high as 8ft sometimes! This obviously girdles the tree and kills it.
