Tomorrow I will set the valves in my BR800C. I'm told they dint like being neglected. I ordered a genuine Stihl kit. BR800C is my favorite bpb, by far.
Worked on Widdle Skiddy a little today. I got the broken pipe nipple out and a new nipple/cap installed. Got it cranking, but the gas is old. I'm working on adapting a sawmill gas jug.
Both vids show average-at-best skills, imo. I guess we gotta determine what is average. First vid he's slow and not confident. Second vid looks borderline dangerous.

Today, among the other trees I felled, there was an unremarkable birch. The surprise was waiting for me at the very end, when I made the final cut, right at the ground! (It's always a surprise!) And, as always, it turned out to be a new chain!
Oh, and I meant to mention Cornell has an app you can put on your phone that will listen to the bird and identify it. It's amazing to just set your phone down and see how many birds it hears. Merlin is the app.
Couple mornings ago it was quite breezy. A flock of 7 Turkey Vultures were soaring effortlessly on the wind. They were joined by a pair of Ravens. First year I have seen them. After a while a single hawk joined in. A raven swooped down on the hawk as if to tell him we don't like your kind...
