Some comments from a YT video I recently didn't watch, might be fitting to your post. "It seems like they are willing to destroy far more value than they end up capturing."Exactly. It's like meth addicts breaking into a house and pulling out the copper plumbing and wiring. They'll get $40 worth...

If you split a consistent size, you can take the time to count how many pieces it takes to make a few different ricks of wood, then just count that average as you chuck into the trailer.

Probably an old Stihl safety chain. Collectors like the red switch. The 026 really wakes up with porting, and will happily use all 20" of bar.

A backup camera is handy too, but they can be laggy. As slow as possible is the way to go on the long skinny driveways. Many people get impatient and go 2-3 times as fast as they should, then constantly changing directions to correct. Accept the fact it may take a few minutes, and just creep so...

That works, or "feelers" to stick up and out similarly, so you can precisely gauge when the chipper reaches the point of no correction, and the point of jackknife. The point of jackknife of course varies truck to truck, and depending on if the chute hits on one side before the other, if at all.
