I had an older neighbor over to see my shop and current work. He is a retired dentist. I knew he had built a boat and asked him about it. “It?” he said… five boats, the largest being a 39 ft skipjack! I asked if next time we visit if he could bring over photos!

Off to California for a day, then driving out to Joshua Tree for a “Western-themed’ wedding weekend. Half my suitcase is full of gifts. Hardly able to get my boots and ‘foldable Stetson’ in!!

Where did you get your clover seed? I need to finish grading the back yard and I figured clover might be a good cover crop until we get gardens installed.

Took a break from Woodturning to make new legs for a slab of oak coffee table that I threw cheap legs on 30 years ago… finally doing it right. Took the tree down which I made the table out of in the early 1970s - slab sat in the shop another ten years before it came home.

I’ve repaired two Schonstedts… if you want I’ll take a look at them. Often it’s a bad component on the main circuit board or a cracked connection.

We’ve had two mostly sunny days, and this morning was nice until rain started at about 11:45am. The rivers have all overflowed their banks and a lot of rural roads are closed due to flooding. Much wetter than usual and England tends to be a bit wet.

Read, post on the Treehouse, watch the locals; I helped two young mothers each pushing a stroller and one with a child in her arms with getting on and off the train. All three young ones were fast asleep, snd they were questioning their sanity at having taken a day trip to London. Had a nice...

On the train back from Brighton to Bexhill after meeting of a UK woodturners club (jolly good sorts) in the Upper Beeding/Bramber community center. Met a few of them online and decided to go meet them in person. It’s taken 2 1/2 hrs each way - it’s 11:38 will get in about 1am.
