    What can you do?

I have motion lights on my garage. They are set to 1 minute, just enough time to get in the house. Of course, I'm not sure my neighbor can see them.

I've been studying battery systems a little bit. It looks like there might be some simple options to do what I want, and not terrifyingly expensive (thought not exactly cheap). I've got all the batteries in the garage where it's about 40*. Still haven't figured out what I need to charge and...

    The Official Critter Thread

I was at my mother's house a few days ago, and my sister's blue heeler was licking my pants. There was a hole there, so I told my sister that her dog had attacked me, and chewed a hole in my pants. My sister ignored me, not surprisingly. I got thinking about it today, those pants shouldn't have...

All I know is, no matter how much crane you have, they are going to want more. The first rental I was on with the 4100, we were reaching across a pool, which was about 12' above our setup level, and putting a climber over 100' trees. He asked if we had any more capacity. MF, you're already half...

The exhaust on my Golf is coming apart. It sounds like I'm in a fog horn when it upshifts.

The Humboldt is primarily for speed of production

These days, 6" of trim is typical. Some people used to try to get down to 3-4" with hardwood. Many of my timbers land on even feet. I want that trim to move my joinery around to avoid knots.

Got a good source for Stihl parts online?

The chain I have now is skip. I don't remember where it came from, it's probably 20 years old. Very unlikely to find skip, or 105 dl locally.

I have been wondering about Xcut. The regular Oregon is too soft, I know that much.

Got a good source for Stihl parts online?

Any sources for Stihl chain? I'm looking for 33RS .050" 3/8" 105 DL. Amazon has one in full skip for $65, but shipping is way out.

The mills and tree cos are the only log trucks. No independent trucks any more.

Tons of rot, but there are a lot of solid sections, sadly very short because a line clearance co took it down. There are no log trucks to hire. My guy cut ten feet of frame off his log truck and put a dump body on it last summer.

We got the walnut home today. Going to have plenty of work next week.

My 32" bar was not sawing straight. I ran it over my grinder, and found the rails were very uneven, despite looking pretty nice. I think the longer bars are much less forgiving of being out of spec. I've got to do a lot of ripping tomorrow, so I'll find out quickly how it's cutting.

Reducing a 6' walnut so we can load it tomorrow to bring to my mill. More nibbling required.

As far as complexity, these older Japanese fuel systems fall somewhere between a wheel, and a wheel mounted on an axle.
