Ditto. Since the 60s, been totally into our space program. I think my one side of the family about traveled to Florida for almost all the Apollo missions to watch the launch. I remember watching it on TV and Grandma bringing me home souvenirs.

I must say that visiting Cape Canaveral and Houston space center was something that made a major imprint on me.
Normally, when I go to the US, it is the wide open spaces, the mountains, the nature, the .......frig, I could go on forever, stuff that I go for.
But being a space head, those 2 visits really got to me.

Brian, could you see it from Sanford? That was one of the cool things about living in O’ville, watching in launch on TV then running outside and seeing it live.

It was too cloudy, and they always launch to the East over the ocean. On clear days we can see the launches from here. I'm in Altamonte Springs which is about 45 miles inland from the Cape.
