Need something to hold my cant hook

Used to use "grip fist" mounts to hold my Logrite cant hook to the arm on my tractor boom pole.
Rubber cradle with a rubber strap to secure it.
They didn't hold up in the winter, rubber got stiff/brittle and the srap would fail.

They were marketed for the off road jeep folk, holding axes, shovels etc.

Suggestions?

We use these on our cart for our shot guns while at a shoot. Might work. That rubber strap holds pretty tight. Now granted, they only see the sun once a month. But ....

I was in a quandary trying to figure out how to carry my cant hook on my truck. Finally came up with this solution using only a single 3" muffler clamp and a drill. I added some sticky pads on the back of the cab where the hook hits, but it still makes a little noise. I need to unbolt it and slide a piece of rubber tubing over the clamp then reinstall it.

You need some positive tightening to avoid ratling, pading isn't enougth. Look at a velcro belt or the fastener to hold the axe and the showel for the old army jeeps.
