I don't think that valve stem would last long with the gas around these days.

It's $100 fine if you get a DOT stop here. Tampering with a fuel can is a no no. I like though.

You can buy the actual replacement vents on ebay. That is what I did to my "new" gas cans.

I've hated Blitz cans since before the new spouts. Just buy a No Spill and be done with it.

I do think his hack is pretty slick. If the spring was light enough in the Schrader valve, it would vent automatically.
