Blue Ox ropes

Interesting. Made in the USA. I've never heard of them. Comparing their 12strand climbline(the only listed climbline) to arborplex, it has 8000# tensile compared to arborplex's 6000#, but is also an eyepopping 10# weight(presumably per 100'. but they don't specify) compared to arborplex's 6.8#. $100/120' vs arborplex's $78/120'

I wonder how hard it is to start a ropeworks? Seems like it would be a tough business to get in. A lot of specialized equipment, and entrenched players to compete against.

They’ve been around for a little while. Reckon they would’ve folded if there was much wrong with them.

They make a 12 strand climbing line, that at a glance looks very much like New England/ Teufelberger Blue Streak 16 strand. A look at the cut end or just counting the strands clears things up.

Do they make any all polyester double braid climbing lines under 12mm?

They make up to 5/8 at least. May have seen 7/8. Most is poly. They have a large arb section as well as yacht and several other specialties.
