The Official Random Video Thread!

haha...most of my horse experiences ended badly. I was about 9 yrs old when the horse I was on decided it was "dinner time" and lit out for the barn...about 1/4 mile down the hill, across the dam and into the barn, madhouse, full out running. I had on a knit hat...close fitting.

A pine limb stretched across the dam and was real low. I ducked just enough that it only took the hat off my head, not my head. I never trusted any horse after that.

Here's my half Arab, Star. Arab x quarter horse. His dam was some fancy foundation Arab and the sire was zips ticket to win. He's trustworthy enough, but a unconfident rider can get themselves in a pickle in a hurry on him too. Good steed though.

And of course the yeller horse, full quarter horse unpapered. $800 had him for ten years. Roped off him, do anything with him. Jump on him bareback anytime, anywhere. And he's got wheels too boy he can lay it down, has the drive to race if put to it. The Golden Nugget. Or Nuggy for short. Lol. Best damn horse I may ever own. Behind him in the pick is my wife's mare, Dandy, another quarter horse but papered. She's a real sweetheart. Bred for racing but was never raced because she's to slow. Still got some wheels to her too though. And we've used her for roping too.

Thanks. He's a great horse, just so comfortable with him at this point. He's got attitude though. I usually ride him with a rope on no matter what we're doing and if he gives me any guff I just tap the end of it against my leg. He gets the point. Lol. Some horses are super sensitive and you can never lay a finger too if you want their trust. Not Nug, a good smack on the ass or shoulder earns his respect and he doesn't hold any hard feelings over it. He trusts you more when you're a firm leader.

Here he is getting all hot in the box for my wife at a roping practice. You can see how intent he is on his steer. Just staring at it. He really gets into it. That's also my kid running the chute. Chute girl! Lol. My wife wrecked her shoulder roping so we don't go out much for it now. Just play around with the beasts.

I just made this video, Boss. See if this might help some folks.

Have the video you want to share on screen.

Press "Share"
Press "Embed"
Press "Copy"

Then just Paste it into the Reply page to get the video embedded.

NOTE: At the "Copy" stage, don't try to highlight stuff and then copy it....hit the "Copy" button like I show in my "arrowed" video and it does the highlighting and copying for you.

Gary, I have always just highlighted and copied, never had any problems with that.

Of course, now that I know there is a better way...................................:)
