The Movie/TV/New Releases Thread

Clint's got a new one out, he's 88 now. I first saw him in Rawhide when I was about 11, he sure has done some good movies since then.

Yes, that looks awesome, can't wait!!

Did you know at one time Clint Eastwood was the record holder for biggest hardwood tree in the US? A blue gum eucalyptus.

rented the Dawn Wall.......pretty awesome footage of Tommy Caldwell freeing it. I never new he pushed his captor in Krystgystan off a cliff....No Soloing on this one. 20 day push to the top...<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/edfw9ip9sCQ" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

This was a good one. I watched it on Netflix recently.

I want to see the Mule. I saw the Dawn Wall as well as Honnold's movie Free Solo, both excellent. The trailer for Vice, about Dick Cheney, looks so good it might be one of those movies- great trailer/bad movie. Don't ya hate it when that happens?

Saw an awesome movie on NYE, Green Book, with Viggo. I give it a 9.4/10. Go see! Viggo was great in A History of Violence and GI Jane.

I saw that in theater, great show. Kevin and I were acquaintances once upon a time, our mothers grew up together.

Vice was good Cory. Unsettling but good.

I haven't been too worked up by...."We never found any weapons of mass destruction", partially because I can't do anything about it and partially because we sold the mustard gas, someone sold them atomic material and Israel went in and bombed for that years ago etc. But to see it all laid out step by step....it was unsettling for me.

Watch the finishing segment in the credits - a lot of people leaving the theater missed it.

Anybody see 'Green Book'?. I liked it very much.

I see Free Solo won an Oscar tonite, cool stuff. Alex Honnold: possibly the world's most unassuming/humble person.

Alex Honnold might be the world's most humble person... i don't know how he can even walk with balls that big, let alone climb!!! Seriously tho, what an athlete.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtB5KmrdMtY. this looks like it will be a great movie and important one as well. A topic that is totally lost in the conversation when people are just looking at a map. Beautiful country we live in.

Beautiful indeed.

I drove the entire length of the Rio Grand once.

I like the Colorado River better for scenery, though.

I saw a trailer for a film about Ted Bundy starring Zac Efron, whilst I’d heard the name in the context of a murderer, I had not read anything about him, a short trip to google later..... I stopped reading after a while, horrific stuff.

I hope (in vain probably) they don’t turn him into some kind of lovable rogue in the way Hollywood is wont to do.

Edit, just found this article on the BBC website discussing just that.
