I can't understand why these guys scared me as a kid. They seem so clean cut by today's standards. Bon Scott had about the coolest rock and roll voice ever.

Wow chris is even cooler on his video's, thats the first one i have even seen. That inspired me to read up on him a little. I knew he had died from cancer, but I didnt know that Garth offered part of his liver( I didn't know you could do that) when Chris's had failed. It wasn't a compatible match so it didn't work out (Chris got a donor), but nonetheless thats one heck of a friend right there.

Here's a cool song. Some things are just glitter and shine.

Embedding disabled by request. I've been listening to the local jazz/easy listening station more lately and this is one of my current favorites.
Alicia Keys, "If I ain't got you"

I'm not all that fond of the video, especially the little acting scene in the middle, but that part isn't included in the broadcast version of the song.

That song title made me think of this:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1WJRd0pFZLE&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1WJRd0pFZLE&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Which made curious to hear this:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/d0rGr0N3gOk&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/d0rGr0N3gOk&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Which reminded me of how cool I thought this was:

Cool, I love Dire Straits. Here is one of my favorite Dire Straits songs with a video of Claire Danes and some dorky kid.

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BPgbhDEzrxY&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BPgbhDEzrxY&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

OM going back to your first post here, my younger sisters shared a room and had a clock radio which used to wake them up with music from the local top 40 station. Every once in a while I would sneak in there and put it on the Spanish language station and turn it up. No laying around in bed with that going on.

walk of life

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HrjBddCTCmk&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/HrjBddCTCmk&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

How about this one to wake up the ladies OM?

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jmS41_JdVLg&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jmS41_JdVLg&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

And if the ladies don't like it.

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Q8Tiz6INF7I&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Q8Tiz6INF7I&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

AND then there is my favorite artist of all time Jimmy Carter.

That was a cool live Ray Charles video Steve. I love finding live performances that were really live and not lip syncing.

I saw him live at the Stanislaus county fair in about 1988 or so. I was disappointed. I wanted the songs to sound just like they did on the radio and they didn't. It must have been kind of embrassing for him to be doing the County fair circuit, but hey, got to make the Mercedes payment for the ex-wife.

J J Cale was always so mellow. That guy knows how to live in the groove.
