Snow melt has contributing to flooding around here. Rivers are swollen around here, particularly the Missouri River, which we crossed over into Missouri today. The fields around it are a flood plain and they were flooded, up to the tires on the irrigation sprinklers in the field. It hadn't breached the levy around the field, but it was pretty impressive. I-29 is closed from St. Joseph, Missouri up to Council Bluffs, Iowa due to flooding. Volunteers have been sand bagging along river towns, and things have crested. But now we're predicted to have more rain over the weekend, so we'll see how things go. Not as bad as the '93 floods so far.

We had a sunrise here for once!
Buds popped on the Silver Maples today & snow is gone.
Sunny, dry, windy & 40f

Off and on snow showers yesterday with a lot of cold wind. It’s 5:15 pm today and it’s 45* and the sun is shining. Beautiful day. Outside with the kids and almost sweating wearing a sweat shirt

Hit 73˚F yesterday -- first time in the 70s since last October! Wind gusts up to 30MPH made for some interesting work conditions at times -- helped on dropping the canopies of a line of Siberians, but was blowing the stump grindings back in my face. Then it hindered at the 2nd job dropping a line of sm Osage, Siberians, and Locust.

Hello Oskosh WI? California Sierra foothills here. Yeah, um, we seem to have gotten your late spring delivery here. Could we get a proper forwarding address so that we may get it to you pronto?

Nearly freezing in the morning, but turns out quickly to a hot day. That was one week of beautiful weather and some more days to come. Strong winds shake the trees occasionally though.

The Prunus sp. woke up the landscape with their flowers and now many trees are popping their brand new leafs. What a pleasure to see that. It makes feel good with the nice blue sky.
