Currently 10 PM on Tuesday, Jan. 28th, 2019. It's cold........sure.......but this cold spell is being blown way out of proportion by the media.

Christmas of 1983 was the coldest I've ever seen it. It hit -44 back then. Tonight it's going to get down to about -31F.

Super Bowl Sunday, 2007, it hit -42F here. The winter of 1995 saw temps of -50F in eastern North Dakota.

We might get somewhere near -40 tomorrow night. These are all actual temps. Wind chills will be much lower than this, but none of these temperatures will set any records around here.

Yowzers!
Y'all drive safe! Or better yet just stay home.

Toasty 6° here, with a bunch of lake effect snow.

I don't see how ya'll take it.

butchs pic of the polar vortex gives perspective as to why I live where I live. Southern and western BC is all yellow. -7.7c here this morning. Yes we measure the tenths here.....because it's so mild.

Stay warm all you frozen maniacs!

The plant crashed too, so we're all outside doing emergency work. Tarping in the bottom of the cooling towers. Crazy how warm -15 c will feel after this.
