I'm weird, I use a leaf rake or plastic scoop shovel if I have a strange urge to push brush into the feed wheels..

I always used a pitchfork. Just let it feed in a little if the tines need sharpening.

I lit my face on fire earlier.

Thankfully it was about 20 below F at the time. All I lost was some hair.

Some of that hair was inside my nose however.....smells like a branding fire all day.

Do you recommend that method of nose hair removal over any other? Pulling with tweezers is no thrill, either.

There were less tears involved in burning them out.....thats for sure.

I still cant recomend it though. The older I get the more convinced I become that these hairs are where they are for a reason. We should just accept them.

Except as you age, more hairs keep cropping up... on & in the ears, more nose hair, etc. Odd how that works. Meanwhile, everything else is turning gray and some men are losing the hair on top!
